Fiel compañero de C3PO. R2-D2 es una unidad de apoyo de unos 0,96 metros de altura. Rueda sobre tres patas y tiene una cabeza abovedada metalizada de color plata y azul. Su blanco, azul y plateado cuerpo alberga múltiples utilidades, armas, sensores y otros gagets muy útiles en situaciones comprometidas.FRASES

Uno de los grandes aciertos de la saga. ¿Quien no querría tener uno en casa?. Otra escena cachonca es cuando trata de coger algo que había robado Yoda, en “El Imperio contra ataca”. Alguien se fijo las estupideces de robots que había en la bodega del vehículo Jawa. Imperdonable también que Luke no lo eligiera en el mercadillo como primera opción, dice poco de su ojo como Jefe de Personal.
Me parece que R2 D2 es anterior a La guerra de las galaxias, y lo utilizaba Lucas para hacer películas caseras. Y en sudamérica, según nos dijo un día Juan D., le llaman Arturito.
